If I recall correctly, given that I was just passing through Waterton, they only charged me for one day entry. No extra fee for parking.

I bought some Salomon Quest 4 II GTX boots. I took them on their first 5 mile hike in the park yesterday and they were quite comfortable. Though they are heavy compared to the TNF Ultra 109's I have been using.

I just watched the video and that looks like a GREAT hike, Pete! I will definitely plan on doing that one with Siyeh Pass as a plan B.

My Gaia GPS app shows publicized routes to Hidden Lake, Mt Reynolds, and a third destination. Is Dragon's Tail southwest of Mount Reynolds and slightly southeast of Hidden Lake?

While apparently not nearly as awesome as a total eclipse, this seems like a pretty cool thing to experience if you are in Glacier on August 21.
