been to the Grinnell overlook a couple of times. really worth it. did Grinnell and swiftcurrent lookout from logan to many one time. fantastic day but wore me out.

very nice pics pete. right now planning on coming out first week june but might change to mid may if the melt continues. I like the way chief mtn looks completely different from various angles.

hard to believe that swiftcurrent lake is already frozen over. seems like it happened overnight last week. must be ALOT colder there than st mary.

my window boards will get tested. my neighbors have always said that November is the windiest month.

In years past a 6 square foot board has blown off. found the next spring less than 1 square foot in size several hundred yards away.

good to see you pete. we went on up to the saddle and sat down in a bunker type wind break to the left and had lunch. wind had to be 45-50 mph and gusting higher. would have been folly for us to go up piegan or Pollock. the one guy, vic we were w is local and longtime glacier hiker and climber and h...
