Smoke?

Looking at the webcams it is hazy
Is that smoke?

Yes, it is. The closest fire that I know of is down in the Spotter Bear Ranger District. There are also fires in the Missoula and Helena areas, as well as in Idaho.

There have been several small fires in the past couple of weeks that were thankfully put out right away, including one only a few miles from me.

The entire area is cloaked in smoke right now. It is that time of year....

Looking at Inciweb, the biggest fire is the Williams Flats fire in eastern Washington. 35,000 acres. Not sure if smoke from that would be a factor....

It's a factor.
The westerly winds bring Eastern Washington smoke right on over here.
Hopefully the rain forecast for this area over the weekend will help clear the air--at least for a while.


Fingers crossed the lightening won't start more fires. Pretty dry around the Flathead.
