People walking into the meadow to get a better look at the bear I guess:

On August 30, 2012 I saw some people stopped on the MG road who were looking out over Lake Sherburne. Being human, of course I pulled over to see what was going on and was stunned when they pointed out towards the middle of the lake. Sure enough, there was a bear swimming across! I watched for many minutes as it swam all the way to the beach on the other side. I had never known they could swim so far! I took a picture (badly) but the griz's head sticking out of the water was so small in relation to the lake and the mountains that you can't see it unless you zoom in like crazy (which is why I'm not bothering to post it here).

Definitely one of the more memorable bear sightings I've ever been lucky enough to have.
