So glad your surgery went smoothly! :|

I'm off for a 2-night backpack in Shenandoah National Park on Monday and I'll be thinking of you doing quad sets in PT as I make my way down the trail.

Important question. So where'd ya do your boozin' on Saturday after hiking down? Can't imagine hiking down without follow up booze.

Therapy is the hard part. Ice, ice, and more ice. Glad you are doing well so far!

Well, there was a beer or two in the Lake McDonald Lodge as soon as we got our packs off, and a couple more at the Apgar campground picnic, but I don't know what happened after that!!

Downhill is generally my forte but not this time. The hike down was at an extremely slow pace. Thank goodness for the good company. MattttttBeeeee was such a good sport where Maia was concerned. She talked his ear off the whole hike down.

Yep, We had beers and appetizers at Lake McDonald Lodge and then headed to Apgar for the chatter meetup. Unfortunately, Dave had to cancel so we had a few more beers in the picnic area before saying our goodbyes and parting ways.

Maia and I had dinner at Glacier Park Lodge and spent our last night at Brownies before boarding the Empire Builder Sunday morning.

Somehow I managed to catch a head cold so that combined with the knee thing made for a super fun trip home. :?

Minus the injury, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

It was a great hike down, i enjoyed every minute of it, including the great conversation!!

First impressions are often funny; based on pictures you'd posted, I imagined Maia would be very quiet and shy! :-) :-)
