Two Sisters 2018

Postby PeteE » Sat May 12, 2018 10:07 pm

I'm over here at St Mary camping. I drove by Two Sisters this morning. They are adding a large addition. Looks like it may double the dining area. I took a picture and uploaded it to my new SmugMug location.
If you go to my SmugMug site and look at the GNP gallery, youll see it
Phone pic of my campsite and pic of the Rocky Mountain Front drving in on the Duck Lake rd.

The addition will not quite double the size of the restaurant but all the added space will not be devoted to tables. There will be a larger customer capacity but there will also be larger service areas and the front door/cash register area, which was very crowded at times, will see some improvement. Search for Two Sisters on Facebook to see the progress on the remodel.

BTW The owners are the same and the food will be great. No change there.

Here's a pic of the new interior.
We ate there on the way back from the Florence Falls hike.
Our waiter said the number of tables was about the same.
However, now as you can see, they are spread out which is much nicer for the customers, but a bit harder on the staff--longer trips to and fro add up.

"Larry", when on shift, is the guy who runs the grill area in the front by the register.
I used to sit at one of the two seats at the bar by the grill and talk to Larry if it wasn't busy.
He'd cook my bison burger medium rare , plain, with no garnishes, and a half order of those great fries...all to perfection

I asked our waiter to say HI to Larry since he was busy.

Our waiter came back to our table to take our order and said Larry looked over and saw me asked if I wanted:
A bison burger, medium rare, plain, with no garnishes, and a half order of fries.
I love the place

looks nice. I always like eating there too. They have such a small kitchen.

Great story about Larry.

Are all license plates and bumper stickers gone?

The ones over the grill are still there. I think you can barely make them out in the picture above.
I don't remember about outside-- :(

I wonder why they didn’t add more tables?

IMO, If they added more tables, 1) they'd be back to the "congestion" like before, and 2) the kitchen and cooks wouldn't have the ability to keep up with the orders--longer wait times....back to square 1.
That's my opinion. Big John was busy or I would have asked him. I will next time if someone else here doesn't ask before I get over there again.

The Two Sisters ordered new dining furniture to replace the old tables, chairs and booths in use prior to the expansion. The entire order was damaged during shipment and had to be returned. The new furniture has now arrived and is in place. The restaurant is more roomy than before, the booths are larger and more comfortable and new decorations are being installed and the grill and service areas have been expanded. The main thing though, is that the food is great.
