GNP from Calgary?

Hello all. I am trying to figure logistics for a trip to Glacier this summer. We have flown into both Kalispiel and Great Falls, but a non stop from Houston to Calgary is cheaper and my niece lives along the way in Claresholm. Any downside to going this route? Its a little longer than driving from Great Falls, but not bad. Any place to pick up bear spray on the way, or is it available inside the park? I cant remember from our last trip. Thanks!

Hi,
We flew into Calgary. No problems at all. Rental car worked well. Got bear spray in Baab. Just had to bring my passport.

You might find the Canadian Rockies (Banff, Lake Louise, Lake O'Hara, Icefields Parkway, Jasper, and so much more!) so enticing that you never get to the US border!

Would a Houston-Spokane flight be an option for you? There is still some driving to do to reach West Glacier, but through the Shoshone National Forest or, if you go north, through the Kootenay.

Recently bear spray could be rented in the Park. I am unsure whether that vendor is still doing so.

Hi David:
You can buy bear spray virtually everywhere these days. Everyone with a cash register sells it.
I'll give you some if I can hook up with you in time.
Let me know when your plans are set.
Cheers
