FCA

Transportation can be a challenge in Glacier. If you have ideas, offer ride shares, or used a commercial service that you were happy with, let everyone know. Also, ask questions about road information, or share road information you may have.

I've been tracking this because my wife flies back from Chicago tomorrow on United. The same flight today was diverted to Missoula, but then those diverted were flown from Missoula to FCA on the same type of plane. Not sure why there was a diversion from ORD if they were able to fly from Missoula to FCA.

I was weedeating on the company property 1 mile south of the airport about an hour ago 8)
The air quality is bad--even had me rasping a bit, and the visibility sucks...
<2 miles for sure and maybe as low as a mile or so depending on where you are.
People with respiratory problems are going to need to be careful exerting themselves.

The SW end of the runway is just a few hundred yards from the intersection of Trumbull Creek Road and Birch Grove Road.
When I drove by about 3PM today, the far end of the runway, the NE end, was not visible.
The runway lights disappeared into the smokey haze. :(

wow, that does not sound very good...
so now we're sitting here trying to do an impossible task..i.e. guess what the chance of these conditions persisting for the next 2-3 weeks is...I know there are cooler temperatures in the forecats toward the end of this week, but who knows if it will bring enough moisture to make a lasting impact...plus all the fires out west :(

These are things that can't be controlled or predicted. Go about your plans assuming the airport will be open. If Delta reroutes to Missoula or Great Falls roll with the flow and go from there.
