I drove out to Kintla Lake camp ground this morning to pick up Tim and Laura who were finishing an 11 night backpack! :shock:
I have helped them out before with shuttling from Kintla and Bowman Lake itineraries.
The logistics of hiking to/from those lakes are very difficult unless you know someone.

People have asked me many times how long does it take to get to Kintla Lake from Polebridge.
I have always said, "Allow an hour".
Today I went through the Polebridge entrance at 1137.

Amazing timing!

Too bad I didn't think of videoing them as they set out on the trail after I dropped them off at Chief Mountain. We could have documented both ends of their trip. :D

Nice timing and nice way to finish the trip with an IPA at the trail head. Tim and Laura look pretty good after finishing 11 days of backpacking!

The ironic thing was Tim and I were talking to a couple from Denver about the logistics of getting picked up at Kintla. We told them we had told Pete we should be at the Kintla beach around 1 PM. They said we had perfect timing since it was close to 1. I looked at the cars and had just finished saying, "I think we beat Pete here," when Pete's truck came around the corner. Perfect timing. After viewing the video, Tim and I just had to laugh. I don't think this could happen again!
