2018 trip

Postby southernguy » Wed Sep 05, 2018 8:38 am

We had another good trip this year. Our group included myself (Jim), my buddy Tom, my son Chris and grandson Will. This was Will's first trip to Glacier and my sixth.
We arrived on August 4th and spent the first night at Rising Sun cabins. Of course we had to get out and do something that first evening so we went down to St Mary's falls. You know how when you first get there you are ready to immerse yourself in the park. On Sunday we did the Siyeh Pass to Sunrift Gorge hike. I can't believe we had never done this one before. Excellent hike although it has to be more than 10 miles.
I am not eloquent like most of you so I make videos of our trips. Here is the link to the first 2 days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVqEyLd7mYc
I will have others for Dragon's Tail, Logan to Swiftcurrent, Grinnell Glacier and one for a recap of all the wildlife we saw. We did see several bears and moose.

Love the video! The Siyeh hike had been on my bucket list for about five years. Finally did it this summer.

Man, that is one ferocious grizzly bear!

I love that Siyeh Pass Hike. Thanks for sharing.
