Great pics Pete! Thanks for sharing. Love the Pica pics, they are right behind the mountain lion and wolverine on my list of unseen animals. They know winter is coming to the high country and are feverishly building up their food caches.
Hi Pete, I'm almost certain that it was a marten that you saw. I had a great view of one and fired off about 20 shots from about 20' at the base of Mt. Rushmore. I dug out my pics, and compared to your sighting. The coat color is variable, but my marten had the same face and dark legs. Also had rust...
Hey Pete, I haven't posted here in a while, but love your pics and reports. Especially like the pic with the rocks in the stream. Love the colors in that shot. We havent been back out to the park, mostly because of the huge increase in visitation. I dont like hordes of tourists. Stay safe
I did not flyfish when we were in the park. However, I did catch some Westslope Cutties at the outlet at Kintla Lake and along Lake McDonald at a couple different pull off's from shore. Small spinners, spoons and Jake's lures all caught a few fish. Also caught a couple of small Bull Trout from shore ...
Nice pics Pete! Looks like you had a beautiful sunny day for your excursion. I look every few days for new pic's. Should post my appreciation for the effort more often!
Beautiful pics of Bowman and Kintla, Pete. I especially love the second to last pic of the outlet stream, spilling out of Kintla. It was loaded with Westslope Cutties when I fished it. Not much size, but beauties nontheless. I need to return one of these years.
I really enjoyed this video Pete! I hate to see these animals collared, the park service doesn't know enough about goats WTH!! Pretty cool to see them so relaxed doing their thing. Thanks for sharing
