Tara, It's not boring at all. I love your blog. But when I attmepted to comment on your blog, I wasn't a member of any domains that would allow me to post a comment. I think your blog domain only permits certain other domains to contribute.

Re: Happy

Thanks MarxMN. I'll never substitute the snow for the cold though. MissG- I make speidi's here in MA, I use Italian dressing, garlic and black pepper. I like to marinade them for days. Some of the recipes are seen on this link use wine, herbs and spices. You can make them as fancy as you wish. http:...

Re: Aug/Sep bike trip

Balou, Siyeh, and David, I always love your trip reports. My family lives down near Hamilton, MT, so I've seen some of the area you rode. I love the ride from Lolo into ID. I've heard it said that ID is one long scenic road, and you showed it again. The Locksa River is beautiful. I've spent some tim...

Re: Happy

Thanks Paul. Regarding snow, again we're getting more snow here near the coast than you are in the woods. But that will change once the year progresses. I'm waiting for it to stop so I can snow blow, but it ain't stopping!!! Poor Lyman in ME.

Re: Happy

Thanks everyone. I spent my birthday in VT with my grandson and his family. Benjamin had hockey practice that night, so I went along and 'helped' out with practice. The 7 and 8 year olds probably thought that I was the biggest and clumsiest Mite on the ice, but Ben said I didn't embarass him, so it ...

Re: snowshoeing in Yellowstone

Tara, I snowshoe in VT with our grandson. It is a fantasy land in the woods with all the snow, and it is a great aerobic workout. I use my x-country ski poles for some balance, you can use your hiking poles. Drink plenty of water, take your snack and camera, as well as the bear spray Dave suggests. ...

Ooops, wrong again. I made a mistake. Please forgive me. I knew one of them was from WI, and I knew they loved beer, so, who wouldn't have thought Laverne and Farmgirl, er....., Jen and Shirley.

Re: Styrofoam cup expert wanted

I'm no expert, but I can Google. Here are 3 items I have found. There's an old joke that if you were reincarnated, you might want to come back as a Styrofoam cup. Why? Because they last forever. Ba-dum-bum. Though I'm currently drinking out of my insulated 16 oz coffee mug that accompanies me everyw...
