Happy Birthday!!! Glad to hear you got to get out to the park...awesome pictures!
It was good seeing you in Whitefish recently!:-)
We prefer to keep specific meetup dates and times available only to registered members. Thanks for understanding.PeteE wrote:A suggestion...
Next time I would put a notice like that where it can be seen by anyone. Members don't always log in.

Does this mean you have now graduated from "Old Geezer" to "Even Older Geezer"?
One comment about restricting meet ups and dates to only logged in members, a policy I
strongly endorse. It is desirable, from a security perspective, that the entire internet
does not know when chatters are gathered and possibly away from their homes.

If a non member wanted to maybe join and contribute to the chat they would then be able to see the content that is "secret".PeteE wrote: The GNP chat is a "secret society" eh?
God forbid a non member might want to meet current members....and maybe join and contribute to the chat.
I'm not sure I do understand, but I'll comply.

All this "lecturing" I've gotten on "internet security/safety" triggered a memory of something I thought was quite stupid at the time.PeteE wrote:Pizza Bob wrote:Happy Birthday Pete!

No, I think "Even Older Geezer", maybe "Senior Geezer" status should be reserved for 70+
And as a "geezer", I keep remembering how life was growing up carefree in the 50's and 60's...plus my memory isn't what it used to be.
So yeah, I forgot that we have, sadly, in my lifetime, become a paranoid society.
And even sadder still the paranoia is justified all too often.
So yes, as I said above, I'll comply with the policy.
