July Trip

Post by ND »

Though some are reflecting on the demise of this site, I still check in almost daily. I agree things have slowed down and it is probably the the way things tend to go with the other social media options available.
Pete, I appreciate your reports, pictures, and videos. I may not view all your videos , but sure have watched quite a few of them. I enjoy everyone's trip reports and pictures.
I'm not much of a trip report guy myself. Too much typing. However I will say this, we had a great trip to the park in July. We joined Pete on a couple of hikes and he entertained us all the way with his knowledge and stories. I have been to Glacier many times, but never tire of this place. Always looking for a new trail or EASY climb. I'm a little scared of those narrow trails with exposure, but usually can make it. The thing about testing yourself is that there is such an exhilarating feeling and sense of accomplishment when successful.

Moose in Cracker Lake. Remember this one, Pete?

I may have already posted this one somewhere. Many Glacier

Maybe I'll post a few more later

ND,

Thanks for posting those photos. That looks like the same moose that was hanging around the shore of Cracker Lake when we were there in 2014. He must have seen the old mining shaft there and decided to stake out his own claim.

Nice stuff ND, especially that moose photo. You need to post more of your photos.

Hey ND :)

I do remember that moose.
That photo is really good, especially since that moose was on the other side of the lake!!
Image came out very nice imo.
I like bumblebees period and that's a good one of that bumblebee.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Not the greatest shot :( some noise etc... I quickly shot this handheld with Nikon P510. Should have taken more time with DSLR and tripod, but these sunsets don't wait forever. However, I did get to experience another beautiful scene in the park. You can see car headlights right center of image.
