I've been re-reading the Yellowstone section (one of them) of Doug Peacock's Grizzly Years. In these pages he's not far from the Thorofare, watching bears, and about to head up to Montana, to serve as a guide for a biologist ground tracking a collared bear, heading south cross-country from Waterton Lake. Pretty neat stuff, and more interesting if one knows the terrain at least somewhat. He is around and active; helps out the Yaak folks from time to time.
So, I'll look forward to more videos of WA state and northern PCT (or ?JMT).
