Dave Parker is the expert on bear spray here, but I personally believe this device is more of a "gimmick" than anything else.
I'm not saying the fellow who developed this product is not serious or sincere. I just believe it's one of those ideas that looks good in theory, but that isn't really a practical device for bear safety....imo...fwiw.
I'll stick with my
Counter Assault hung on my sternum strap where
I know I can access it immediately and deploy it quickly.
If I have to turn my back on a charging bear and assume the "fetal" safety position, it'll mean I will have already "shot my wad" so to speak...and the bear will have broken off its charge---hopefully.
Just my opinion, y'all buy and use whatever you want.
