I'm loving' the picture of Jen's Maia all wrapped up for her first trip on the Highline.

To think she'll be lugging her own backpack over a major GNP pass this year just makes me grin. :D

I seem to recall that a link to this article was posted on the Chat shortly after Andy had passed but it is certainly nice to see it again. Thanks, Jay.

Hey Pete, wife & I are headed that way on 7/7 with plans to spend 4 days in the park before heading toward ynp & Jackson Hole. We did the hockey ref hike about 10 years ago but I forget the logistics for the shuttle from swiftcurrent to Logan. What times can you catch it & don't you take it to the visitors center & then the other shuttle to Logan pass? Thanks in advance. We are staying at MGh & Swiftcurrent so don't really want to leave car at Logan. Tony

Hey Tony :)

Sorry for the delayed reply.
You'll need a Plan B because I doubt the Hocky Ref hike will be doable while you're here.
In any case, I would call Xterra and make a reservation on the 7AM shuttle to St Mary where you'll pick up the free GNP shuttle to Logan Pass.
Yes, you need reservations now to ensure a seat. That will be especially true during the busy July 4th week.
You might want to do something like Piegan Pass.
Keep in touch here. The snow is melting out. Things could change.
Good to hear from you.

Pete, saw where highline opened. You think we're good to do hockey ref? Haven't heard swiftcurrent pass conditions. Actually in flight now & land in Kalispell in about an hour. If you're going to be in the Many Glacier area let me know. Would love to finally meet you. Tks. Tony

Hey Tony. Chk with the Swiftcurrent Rangers about Swiftcurrent pass. It may open soon with all the heat we been having.
Love to meet y'all too.
Doing Cataract tomorrow with PizzaBob. If I can get a camp spot on the East side for sat night, i will do ShangriLa Sunday.
Y'all are welcome to do either or both this weekend...depending on your plans.
See PM for my phone number if you want to call. Call anytime.
