Nice trip report!!!! :D

Black Lake looks pretty gorgeous....

If a few days of skateboarding gets you a backpacking trip; well worthwhile!!!!

Oh, and I couldn't help but notice the almost footnote at the bottom...
Good thing there is a solo trip to GNP in 27 days ;)

I enjoyed the report and laughed at "they'll never hike with me again" comment. Kudos to them for elevating.

You introduced me to those awesome Huckleberry Twizzlers and I can't wait to have some more (at least this time I won't have to steal them for your kids).... :mrgreen:

FYI Toddnick: The huckleberry licorice is available for purchase at the St. Mary Grocery ;)

impressive that your kids will walk that far in altitude. looks like a great vacation. i haven't ridden a skateboard since we nailed metal skates on the bottom of a 2x4.
