FYI, (Andy's) Jen had asked me to post two charities for memorial donations: the IU Simon Cancer Center, and the Glacier National Park Conservancy.

It's nice to know that what we're doing fits in so well with what the family wanted.
I talked with Debra from the GNP Conservancy today. They said there have been several donations in Andy's name but information was incomplete due to a problem with the old and new website being merged. Debra said if you made a direct donation and have NOT heard back from them to please contact the Conservancy.

I have purchased a tree in Memory of Andy through the GNP Conservancy website.

In my thoughts daily, I am adding a rock to the ever increasing cairn in GNP.

Rest In Peace Andy.

And more coming!
I am picturing the Hockey Ref Allee -- a line of trees marching up and over Swiftcurrent Pass, down past the lakes, looking in at Redrock Falls, then on to the Moose pond, finally to end at the Swifty cabins.

If you have made a donation directly to the GNP Conservancy, make sure you PM me with your name and address so we can add you to the donators list that we will give to Andy's family. I know Wendy, Jen and Kevin will be very touched by the generosity of these wonderful chatters and will want to know who contributed. Based on the count I think 3 people have gone directly to the Conservancy, though we have no way of knowing for sure unless we get a message from you. Thank you to all of you. I'm sure Andy is smiling.

Another tree grows in Glacier! :D
(Those saplings sure are tiny. I hope they aren't salty, too...<fret>...)

Just a quick note to add to the chorus of thanks to Tim and Laura for organizing this very fitting tribute. It's a great thing, and shows what a wonderful group this is.

Hello Glacier lovers! I work for the Glacier National Park Conservancy and we are hoping you can help us out. We have had 4 incomplete orders for trees in memory of Paul "Andy" Anderson. If you have made a donation for one and didn't get asked for your credit card information, please contact us at 406-892-3250 or email me at debra@gnpconservancy.org We think the issue is using a link that was forwarded from our old organization, the Glacier Fund. We appreciate you allowing us to reach out to the Glacier community in this manner as all the other options have been dead ends and we would really like to get it solved. FYI, Jake Bramante from Hike734 and a friend made it up to Apgar Lookout today! They stopped in to share their experience and show us some pictures. Trust me, we know how to spell jealous!! ;)

Somehow I'm hoping that they have laptops in Heaven, and that Andy's on a cushy couch, tuned into Glacier National Park Chat and smiling at all these posts. I hope he has the perfect view from above to watch his grove of trees grow, in his favorite place here on Earth.

Thank you Tim and Laura for helping us be a part of this wonderful effort for Andy.
