Eastside snow

Post by scott-atl »

Latest storm dropped 4 feet of snow between the Park and browning area. A rancher in heart butte says it's the most he's ever seen.

Ralph,

Thanks for posting that. Interesting to see the difference in snowfall at East Glacier compared to Browning.

My friends near the Two Sister near Babb reported that the snow is settling rapidly. They seem to have lost over 2 feet as of Thursday afternoon. Temperatures remain warm and snow is melting.

Yes thanks. I'm a little concerned about the outside stairs and the front deck. The roof is pretty steep so the snow will slide off but the weight of 5 plus ft of snow will probably be close to maxing out the deck. If there is a problem it will just give me an excuse to go out early this year. Got a great pic of just the roof of thronson's showing on my phone. Wish I knew how to attach it.

Thanks Ralph, Scott sent that image to me a couple of days ago, but I did not have a chance to post it, Deb and I have been snowed in for a week now and I have been trying to get one of the cars/trucks out so we can go to town!

Dave,

Good luck with the plowing.

I would guess your driveway can be quite a challenge. Does the road past your place get plowed or do you need to plow that too?

Nope Bill,

The county stops plowing about a mile down the hill from us, so once I finally get out and plow I go all the way down and back up the hill, fortunately, both of my neighbors also plow with there dozers, so it works out pretty good most of the time. Right now the starter is out in the plow truck, hope to get a new one in it this week.
