Here are more pictures from my short hike up on Glacier View ridge.
I may go again and take more later this week. It's a good place for views into the west side of Glacier National Park.
It's a bit steep, a 900ft/mile average elevation gain but well worth the effort.

On the drive out at the end of the hard road at mile post 12[ of the North Fork road
Closer view. See the house? Nice digs huh?
On the way up. Dead tree
The snow was a pain to walk in at times so I walked to the side of it in places. Microspikes made the traction pretty easy, even on the very steep "dirt" parts.
The lack of snow is really disconcerting

Looking from the outcropping where I stopped up towards the summit, barely visible on the right
On the way down looking at Huckleberry Mt
Coming down. Care requied because of steepness. It wouldn't do to take a tumble. Lots of rocks and tree debris. Getting impaled on an old tree limb would be painful

I'm a "dead tree" lover too
