Bears attack tree

Even though Glacier is the focal point, the Flathead and the surrounding area presents boundless activities, talk about it here.

Bears have attacked a tree in Whitefish:

They have also been moving into the Sweet Grass Hills:

But, but, but....grizzly bears can't climb trees! HeHe :D

One of my neighborhood walking routes includes all of Dakota Ave.
Very nice part of Whitefish with beautiful homes....and not far from the geezer's place. 8)

We get black bears occasionally around my neighborhood. They come down the Whitefish river under the RR trestle bridge to get by the RR tracks and train yard.
Many of the older homes around me have fruit trees. One night someone's dog woke me barking furiously.
A black bear was just ambling along the middle Luper Ave looking around like a lost tourist  LOL
I've also seen black bears in an old broken down apple tree across the street from my BR window.
Right many apples on it this year too. 8)
