We thoroughly enjoyed Fish Creek Campground, stayed for 3 nights at 2 different campsites. It looked like some of the families there didn't even leave the CG area it is so nice...
It seemed like the sites on the outer side of the loops had a little more privacy than the inner parts of the loops. For a very full campground, it was fairly quiet. Drawback would be no shuttle access, so you have to plan on getting up early and driving to trailheads etc, or at least getting up and driving to a shuttle stop.. Reservations are not too hard to get and we noticed Apgar did have sites available most of the days we were in the Park (mid July 2018).. SO you could reserve a site at FC, and then try and move to Apgar later on.
Things to be aware of- it is pretty clear the showers are Only at the "A" loop, but what is not mentioned- there is NO Parking at the showers, you must walk. Many of us were finding that out the hard way, driving around in circles.
again, no shuttle stop, nearest shuttle is over 2 miles at Apgar (hopefully that changes eventually)
minor item is Exiting the "C" loop you turn right to exit the campground. the other loops had signs or it was very obvious, from C loop we kept going the wrong way (maybe they'll put in a sign)...
The "C" loop outer sites are very close to the water but you are still looking through thick trees, and can only access the water by the main beach so i wouldn't worry too much about scoring one of those "prime" sites.
The map makes "B" loop look far from the water, it really was not far at all.
The Picnic Area by the front of the Campground is a great spot for a lunch, and like most Park picnic areas, is fairly underused.
When i went looking for videos before our trip i didn't find many, so i made one/ if you want to get a good look at the facility and get even more info take a look here.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw784gixCCE
