Don't worry, it's 'automated', so most of the work is done. The thought is to use this as a proof of concept and then deploy on this website with automatic updates.
That’s the idea (once a day refresh to start, presumably after 5 PM for an insight into the next day for people going early for permits) - but both Rec.gov and glacier trail status as there seems to be a disconnect between the two regarding winter status, closure, etc - presumably Rec.gov isn’t keeping up with current conditions. You can see that when comparing the two tables, ignoring the 2 day offset, the first table has only rec.gov and the second has also included nps status from the trails page.
Thanks, there's definitely interest on my part. It's a pain to check walkin status using rec.gov as it is.zozeppelin wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 9:16 amThat’s the idea (once a day refresh to start, presumably after 5 PM for an insight into the next day for people going early for permits) - but both Rec.gov and glacier trail status as there seems to be a disconnect between the two regarding winter status, closure, etc - presumably Rec.gov isn’t keeping up with current conditions. That said, all depends on feedback / interest.
