The Sharing Shack

The Sharing Shack is a place near Glacier National Park where one can leave Camp Stove Fuel or Bear Spray (or whatever) if it can't be taken with you on an airplane. If you use something from the Share Shack, a donation is requested.

I became aware of the Sharing Shack via another post on this site. Here's more detailed information on this shared resource.

The Sharing Shack is located at 320 Mountain Ave, Columbia Falls MT. This is just a bit east of the intersection of US Hwy 2 & Montana Hwy 206.

Driving East on Hwy 2, one turns right onto Maple St. If you follow Google and take the second left onto Mountain Ave there is a good chance you won't see the Sharing Shack as it is a small building hidden by vehicles, campers and other buildings. Please see pictures:

Mountain Ave is perpendicular to Maple St on the other side of 320 Mountain Ave.

The Sharing Shack is a great concept and a very nice service. We left our unused stove fuel there.

Went for some bear spray Monday, found none. Dropped off a fuel canister, bear spray and lighter today and found two tubs of bear spray, go figure. Really cool concept.

It would be nice if they had one on the East Side; like in St Mary as that's kind of a center point. There is so much hiking on this side as well so I think it would be a nice idea.
