How's it melting out?

What's the local intel on trail conditions? Any guesses on what my chances are for NPS to open up the Sperry or Lake Ellen Wilson campsites before August 1?

I am not local so all I know about the conditions are what I have read. However last year there was much more snow than there has been this year and both Sperry and Ellen Wilson were open when we were at Sperry Chalet around July 20. I think they had just opened a few days before.
Since there seems to be less snow this year, I would think chances are very good for these campgrounds to open before August 1 but I will defer to those around the Park on this.

Living here, I can't say we had much more snow last year, but I can say, we seem to be melting out faster than we did last year, of course I had a 10" snowstorm on June 10th last year..then nothing more until September, I would be that things will be open by August 1st with no problems.
