Fabulous pictures, Pete.
You posted when I did.
That's wild!! I remember seeing that when I was a kid. I was about 8 years old then.
Too funny. Thanks Meg! Great find.

I'm going again tomorrow morning for Piegan's summit.
The weather forecast is good. But...
I'm not too happy about the smoke that moved in here the last couple days. It really SUCKS-- big time.
Web cams don't look too awful is the only reason I'm going to go.
Of course this all assumes the bears will have moved on from digging up the ridge under Cataract mtn.
And there is no way to know if they have moved on short of going there.
So...
That will cause me to have to go slowly up that last 1/2 mile to Piegan Pass.
Running up on those two bears is not on my agenda.
It wouldn't be a big deal except day light is getting to be at a premium[for me] every day that goes by.

Bottom line is I'm getting up and going hiking somewhere tomorrow.

Pete, they were still there at 5:30 this evening. She is the grumpiest bear I've encountered in years. Be careful up there.

Thanks Chewy. I appreciate the warning. Glad I looked in here this morning before leaving.
I respect your opinion. You have way more experience than I do with these bears.
So I'm not going to push my luck with her.

I'll find somewhere else to go today. 8)
Something less demanding like the Haystack maybe since I have some new boots I want to break in anyway.

Cheers and thanks again Chewy!

I ended up doing the Haystack.
I made it a little less boring by going up to the summit via the Class III route up through the cliffs. 8)
I got some good pics and video on the way up
Geezer Power!!!! YeeeeeeHawwwwwwwwwww !!

I'll start a new thread for that hike.
