No plans yet. By spring, I'll have to stake out a claim on when the vacation will occur. I keep wanting to go to Yosemite, but I never plan the trip.

When we arrived in Glacier, we were waived into our campsite by a couple from WI. When we left, we "gave" the site away (the night before) to Linda and Donn. Linda emailed Julie after the trip about a grizzly encounter (aka a drawer filler):

"We just got home 2 weeks ago and are finally caught up with all our chores and beginning new ones. We wanted to thank you again for the wonderful campsite in Many Glacier. We spent 8 days there and had so much fun. The first half hour we were there in the afternoon a young grizzley bear paid us a visit. We were sitting on the upper bank having happy hour when he came out of the woods on the river and stared at us. He (she) was about 12 feet from us. We were frozen (sitting in low beach chairs with food). He moved on and we stood up and he came up the bank and stared at us again from about 15 feet. Needless to say we had quite an adrenaline rush, guess we did not look to appetizing.

Donn said to be sure to thank you for the best wildlife viewing spot. We had deer, squirrels, chipmunks, birds, geese. We did not want to leave. We moved down to Two Medicine for 2 days and then continued our trip to Idaho where we had a spectacular time."

This is the first time I've heard of a grizzly "in" the campground since we've been going to Glacier. I put "in" in quotes because it was still on the riverbank (as I read it) and some may not consider that really in the campground. But he11, close enough.

Heck, just plan it  IMO, the early part of June when the waterfalls are howling and the schools haven't let out yet is the perfect time to visit YO..... 8)

We had to put her down last night due to cancer. She was the only dog I know that had a sense of humor. She'd hit you with a lightning fast lick of the lips and be gone before you knew what happened. Quite a force in the house that will be missed.

Very true, but tequilla helps. (Patron XC Cafe + coffee)

BTW, I'm installing a new computer and I got a big 4k display. I'm looking forward to viewing videos I shot in Glacier. I've been meaning to string a bunch of those together and make a long video that I could put on the TV (or the new display) for 30 or 45 min. Somehow I think that would be fun.

Jay,
I'm really sorry. I lost my golden at age 13 a few years back - cancer as well. It was really tough. I know you guys miss her tremendously.
