West side and East side

Post by llholmes1948 »

I finally had a good chance to talk with my daughter about her recent trip to Glacier in mid-July. She and her husband are not foodies but gave me the following restaurant report which was all positive, except for the Two Medicine Grill:

West side:
Lake McDonald Lodge Bar (for snacks and appetizers)

Glacier Highland restaurant

and of course the Polebridge Mercantile for bear claws.

East side:
Serranos - delicious (The waitress told them that the menu at Serranos had changed which upset some locals but I don't have any other details.)

Bar at the Glacier Park Lodge - very good burgers - (Eating at the bar there was highly recommended to them by the owner of the Mountain Pine Motel and that proved to be a good choice.)

Bakery at Brownies at East Glacier.

The only negative report concerned the Two Medicine Grill which I have posted elsewhere.

They did not have a chance to eat at Johnson's in St. Mary or at Two Sisters where we have previously eaten so I did not get an updated report on those places.
