My son and I will be hiking the Chinese Wall / White River Pass loop (with lots of side trips) the mid to end of July for 10 or 11 days. Can you recommend lodging, food, and showers in or near Choteau for when we come off the hike?

There are several motels in Choteau. Most are small and of the mom and pop variety. The best place to stay in town, especially for someone coming in off a 10 day backpack, is the Stage Stop Inn. It is a fairly new large motel with pool and hot tub. It's within walking distance to the Elk Country Grill for great food and drink.
