From today's (Jan. 15th) NPS Morning Report.

Paulette Kaderli, human resource assistant at Glacier National Park, was killed in a two-vehicle accident on January 11th. The accident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. near Columbia Falls, Montana, as Paulette was driving to work in her personal vehicle. Icy conditions contributed to the accident.

Paulette began working in Glacier National Park in January, 2007. Paulette’s prior federal service included working for the U.S. Forest Service in the Coconino National Forest, Flagstaff, Arizona, as an office automation assistant and human resource assistant; for Lake Mead National Recreation Area as a visitor use assistant; and at Hoover Dam as a reclamation guide.

Paulette’s death is a shocking and unexpected loss to the Glacier National Park family. Her warmth, bubbly personality and friendship will be missed. Paulette frequently said "I am the ‘Star’ of my Life" and she lived her life accordingly, with exuberance and boundless energy.

Paulette is survived by Jim Webb, Kalispell, Montana; her mother, Renee Benz, Rosemead, California; a brother, Steve Kaderli, Prescott Valley, Arizona; and a sister, Sue Wrate, Arcadia, California.

Arrangements for services are pending at this time but will be held in Arizona. Her Glacier National Park family is also planning a remembrance service. Condolences may be sent to Jim Webb, 101 E. Many Lakes Drive, Kalispell, Montana 59901.
