Looks like the heaviest snow will be in SW Montana from Great Falls on south. Only light snow is predicted for areas north of Great Falls. Temps have definitely cooled though. Daytime highs were in the 70s and 80s last week. Yesterday barely hit 40 with morning lows in the 20s out on the plains.

I spent Saturday and part of today in Great Falls with my brother and his family. We awoke to a couple of inches of snow this morning, and it continued to snow all day. I left Great Falls around 3 this afternoon, driving north and the further north I drove, the better the weather got. Drove out of the snow about 20 miles north of Great Falls and by the time I got home, it was sunny and clear (although a nippy 41 degrees). Gotta love Montana weather!! From the sounds of things, Billings got dumped on this time.

Storm definitely went south. A long stretch of I-15 was closed today between Butte and the Idaho line. Also Billings was requesting emergency travel only.

Only a dusting here in Choteau and that was Friday morning. The cold front passed today (Sunday) around 10 AM to bring beautiful blue skies against a very white mountain backdrop.

Gotta go out an play on Monday.

Sure, Ralph, rub it in.

The park web cams are still stuck on Saturday, so you better take a lot of pictures where ever you go.

We Glacieraholics need our regular fix you know!

Happy trails,

Valerie
